Pressure Sore (Bed Sore)

  • - Prevention of pressure sore is the best policy
  • - Frequent change of position.
  • - Keeping the area dry and free of maceration.
  • - Use of specialized bed.
  • Deep pressure sores or grade 3 and 4 sores need surgical debridement.
  • VAC ( Vacuum assisted closure) helps in reducing the size and avoids the need for daily dressing
  • Local flap can be done to cover the pressure sore.

Burns
